We will try to assist wherever possible, and will advise if any fee is applicable in your particular circumstances. Payments.com.au is 'Total Convenience' Payments.com.au is new secure, real-time facility that allows you to pay for any product or service that you have purchased from participating Merchants. Instead of writing out cheques, addressing envelopes, buying stamps and posting letters - you can pay online in real-time - and know that your bill is paid. You can pay at any time of the day or night. You can pay using your credit card from anywhere in the world using either the Internet, or from anywhere in Australia using a touch-tone telephone. Do I get a receipt? Yes - if you pay a Merchants Invoice using the Internet - you can print out an on-screen receipt of the completed Payment. When your next credit card statement comes in - you can see details of the Payment made. If you pay using the 1300 722 001 telephone service, you will be given a transaction receipt Reference Number. When your next credit card statement comes in - you can see details of the Payment made. What does it cost the customer? Absolutely nothing*. The Merchant's price for the goods or services that you have purchased covers their participation in the Payments.com.au service. *Your only additional cost will be limited to the cost of a local '1300' telephone call, or for the few minutes that you are connected to the Internet to process the Payment. What does it cost the Merchant? A low setup fee of only $199 The Merchant then has a number of choices: Plan A $49.95 per month, 100 free transactions per month then $0.45c per transaction after that Plan B $29.95 monthly fee, $0.45c transactions Plan C $19.95 monthly fee, 1% of transaction value or $0.45c, whichever is greater. Can Merchants Switch between the two Options? Yes, the Merchant can switch at any time between payment plans - a switching fee of $49.95 applies at the time of the switch between the Options above. The above rates are subject to change. Merchants are required to meet all bank credit card fees and account charges in the usual manner. Government charges are also applicable. Merchants are also charged the credit card collection fee deducted by the bank when their Merchant Transaction Account balance is topped up. The Merchant will also need an Internet connection to input invoices at Payments.com.au or to check Statements online and use the Merchant Admin System. An Internet site is not required. (Rates quoted include GST) Does the Merchant need to have a Web Site? No, the Merchant does not need to have an Internet site.
